About Lombardo

Lombardo is an italian restaurant in Buffalo, New York. It is listed at 1198 Hertel Ave, Buffalo, NY 14216, which places it among the local businesses of Buffalo that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as fine dining restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 5โ€“10 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Lombardo at (716) 873-4291; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is ristorantelombardo.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 809 reviews, which is a strong result for an italian restaurant in Buffalo and suggests consistent service.

Buffalo is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Buffalo is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We hosted our annual business review here with an important client, and honestly, it couldn't have gone better. If youโ€™re looking to impress someone who truly cares about Buffalo, this is the exact spot to take them. The whole vibe is elegant but welcoming, and the history here gives it that authentic local feel you just can't replicate anywhere else. Every single thing that hit the table was a massive hitโ€”the steaks were cooked to absolute perfection, the handmade pastas were incredible, and the desserts at the end were spectacular. But what really made the night stand out was Tommy Lombardo and his phenomenal team. The staff was so attentive, sharp, and totally on top of everything all night. Tommy brought that one-of-a-kind care and support that makes you feel genuinely looked after from start to finish. He and his team completely embody the warmth and hospitality that Buffalo is known for. If you want a top-tier dining experience that shows you understand the heart of this city, Ristorante Lombardo is the only choice.

I had not been in years but it was requested by one of my kids for their birthday so we made a reservation. It really exceeded expectations this time. Great food, absolutely charming service from a young man named Eric (I think), and lovely interior seating in a booth. See pics for food. Will definitely not wait so long to go again!

Thank you Lombardo for a wonderful birthday experience! As a transplant, I can attest that Lombardo is one of the only restaurants in Buffalo that truly hosts a NYC -esque dining experience. From the valet parking, to coat check, to an attentive maรฎtre dโ€™, the service was excellent. For dinner I decided to try the Sicilian food & wine tasting, and was not disappointed. The five-cheese arancini was hearty and delicious. The Zuppa di Pesce was cooked perfectly and the broth was to die for! I definitely couldโ€™ve appreciated a slightly larger portion, however everything was delicious. The orange wine pairing for dinner was sooo refreshing. I ended the evening with a chocolate gelato that was decadent and left me stuffed. From the maรฎtre dโ€™ who checked in multiple times to ensure I was enjoying my night to my server Ana, thank you for a beautiful evening! I will be back to celebrate with you in the near future.

Thank you for making my wifeโ€™s birthday a special one ! Excellent food , service, valet parking, coat check and excellent ambiance. Absolutely one of our favorite fine dining restaurants. The birthday card on the table signed by all employees was a classic touch that elevated the experience. Thank You Lombardoโ€™s !

TL;DR: The food at Lombardoโ€™s was deliciousโ€”especially the Caesar salad, phenomenal. Service was ok (it wasnโ€™t bad, but nothing stop exceptional either). The only downside was the atmosphere; it was much louder than expected. Would totally go back through - in fact, Iโ€™m looking forward to my next visit.
